My Daily Bread

Deuteronomy 8:3

"So He humbled you, allowed you to hunger, and fed you with manna which you did not know nor did your fathers know, that He might make you know that man shall not live by bread alone; but man lives by every word that proceeds from the mouth of the LORD."

Jesus quoted part of this to Satan when tempted in Matthew 4:4 Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.’[b]”

We know that during this time of praying and fasting we can make it! We are sustained by the word of God. We should not fast and not pray and read God's word. We are just starving ourselves. That would not be healthy. We are getting nutrients and every thing our spirit needs from the word of God (from spending time with Him). Jesus can be on our minds as we work, as we play or definitely as we are sitting still. Be intentional. If we spend time to eat three times a day, or even just one time a day, we should spend that time in the word of God and in prayer.

Keep on pressing! You already have the victory!
